Eleanor was the daughter of my family's first cat. She was extremely sweet but very anxious and afraid of everyone aside from my dad and me. Despite being anxious, she was a great hunter. I once woke up to a dead mouse on my pillow and a very proud looking Eleanor. She also loved playing with pipe cleaners, but only when she thought no one was looking. Sadly, she had a stroke in late 2022 and passed away at the age of seventeen. She lived with my parents in another country, but I was able to visit the week before her death. I miss her a lot, but I'm glad she lived a long and happy life.
When I moved in with my partner, we adopted a 3-year-old calico cat and named her Jadzia, after Jadzia Dax from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She is the cuddliest and most social cat I've ever met. Every night she comes to sleep under the covers with me, and if I stay up too late, she'll start meowing at me and lead me to the bedroom. She has a favourite toy ball that she carries around and drops by us when she wnats attention.
